Infiniti is Nissan's luxury division. The brand shares the same proven mechanical base as mainstream Nissans (the 3.5 L VQ V6 and the 2.0 L VC-Turbo found under the hood of several models), but grafts on leather interiors, careful sound insulation, firmer suspension and standard tech. The result: a true premium vehicle that costs noticeably less used than an equivalent BMW, Audi or Mercedes.
That is exactly the calculation that makes a used Infiniti a favourite north of Montreal: the depreciation of the first years has already been absorbed by the first owner, so a well-equipped luxury SUV becomes affordable on the budget of a new midsize sedan. You enjoy top-tier comfort without the maintenance costs that scare people off in the German segment.
The big advantage of Infiniti is that under the luxury lies mechanics that are already well known to Quebec garages. The VQ V6 has a solid reputation for longevity, and the parts shared with Nissan are easy to find and cost less than original German parts. Servicing at an independent shop does not turn into a billing nightmare.
To drive through winter in the region, two things to watch when buying: the CVT transmission on some 4-cylinder models (a regular fluid maintenance history is reassuring) and the condition of the luxury electronic components. That is precisely what we check before putting a vehicle on sale. And don't forget that in Quebec, certified mountain/snowflake winter tires are mandatory from December 1 to March 15. We make sure your current tires get through the winter, or we point you to a suitable set.
Every Infiniti goes through a complete mechanical inspection before sale: brakes (often oversized on the sport versions), suspension, transmission (automatic or CVT depending on the model), AWD all-wheel-drive system, and all of the luxury electronics (ProPILOT, 360° camera, multi-zone climate control, heated/ventilated seats). We read the full CARFAX report to validate the history and mileage.
Buying from a dealership like BonAuto rather than from a private seller also gives you the legal warranty of the Consumer Protection Act, whose duration varies with the age and mileage of the vehicle. It is protection that a sale between individuals does not provide. An optional extended warranty is also available for models with more complex technology.
A used Infiniti is a good profile for lenders: decent residual value and controlled mechanical risk thanks to the Nissan base. We help all credit files, including more delicate situations. See our bad credit financing page. Estimate your monthly payment with the calculator, browse the available models in the inventory, then request a free pre-approval. We serve Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Oka, Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, Deux-Montagnes, Mirabel, Saint-Eustache and the whole area north of Montreal and Laval.
